Max and I first met in Freshman Year orientation at Elon University. My first impression of him was how much of a gentleman he was. I stuck out my hand to shake his, which he then proceeded to respond with a big smile, "Hi, I'm Max! I'm a hugger." Odd, but I quickly learned this was not just a pick up line; but the truth. Fast forward to our first "date" where we danced all night long in a Kappa Sigma Fraternity house. By the end of the night, I was in awe of his humor, kindness, and killer dance moves. One of the first memories I have where I thought to myself, "I could picture marrying Max, was when we went on our first beach trip together to Caswell Beach. We cooked dinner while belting A Star is Born, sat on the beach in pure silence, and played a variety of card games for hours causing us to laugh until we couldn't breathe. These subtle moments were so small, but made the biggest impact; I could do this forever with this person. The proposal happened in Folly Beach on January 14th, 2024. When Max proposed to me, I was flooded with happiness, excitement, and disbelief that I had gotten so lucky. The idea of spending forever with Max is beyond happiness and gratitude. We have survived a hurricane, snow storms, a pandemic, presidential campaigns, a hip surgery, a toe break, and many other events, whether those impacted us or those around us. Now, six years later, here we are. We're both so grateful to you, our community, for your love and support. We can't wait to celebrate the wedding with you soon!
